What are the most common psychic scams?

Let me start by telling you that there are indeed genuine gifted psychics and psychic mediums, so this means that there are really people who got the skills to read your personal energy, universal energy, and can connect with your deceased loved ones. Furthermore, these genuine psychics and psychic mediums are generally reliable, honest, ethical people who always wanted to help people using their gifts.

With that being said, I've come up with this article to give you knowledge and warning about the scams out there. It's very important to know that these scammers are probably not genuine nor legitimate gifted psychics and mediums. Rather, these scammers are simply fakes and frauds who are pretending to be a psychic or psychic medium so that they can take advantage of desperate people.

Common Psychic Scams

I thought that I would be able to spot the scams from a mile away, but when you are in a vulnerable position searching for answers to life’s hard questions, you often aren’t able to see the red flags in front of you. Many psychic scammers prey on people who are heartbroken, vulnerable, and confused. It’s incredibly important that you take time to sit back and think about who you are getting a psychic reading from and consider all the aspects of their services before you financially commit to anything.
  • Do your research: make sure your psychic has contact information, a transparent payment plan with no hidden fees, and that they come well-reviewed by many clients.
  • Keep it real: if the psychic is making extraordinary promises, chances are they are a fake. A real psychic won’t promise immediate results, as this isn’t how life works.
  • Payment methods: psychics or psychic networks that require payment via credit card are the safest option for you to use. Credit cards offer you a certain amount of payment protection if the service you want ends up being fraudulent. Beware of psychics that ask you to pay via wire transfer or in cash- these methods aren’t traceable, so you don’t have any protection against a scam if they end up being a fraud.

There are three common scams from psychics include the ‘bad luck curse’, spell casting, and healing services.

1. Bad Luck Curse - This is the oldest and most common of all the psychic scams.
The bad luck curse scam promises to reverse a streak of bad luck you may have because of a curse someone has put on you. The psychic promises to reverse the curse. However, this requires no psychic abilities; it’s just another way to get you to hand over your money.

2. Spell Casting Scam
The second scam involves the casting of spells to make another person fall in love with you, solve a legal dispute, or hire you for a job. These ‘spells’ are supposed to usurp another person’s free will, which doesn’t happen. Spells, when done the right way, can be used to influence your life and the vision you have of things you want or want to accomplish. This power is within you, and doesn’t require you to hand over any money to a so-called professional spell caster.

3. Healing Services
Finally, healing services are a common scam that preys on people who are sick, hurting, and otherwise desperate for answers. There are ways to heal people through the energy around us, but most psychic scammers aren’t attuned to these forms of healing. Be aware of anyone who asks you to pay money for promises of healing and well-being; these are promises they cannot keep.

Psychic Reporting

There are genuine psychics, mediums, clairvoyants, and other spiritually gifted people out there; many of these people practice their skills quietly and without much fanfare. You’ll find legitimate psychics and other spiritual readers through other people and the recommendations they have based on their own personal experience. You can also use websites like this one to better understand common scams, so that you can avoid them in your own search for a real psychic.

I created this website so that people could have a resource to report fraudulent experiences with psychics, clairvoyants, and other spiritual practitioners. Unfortunately, scams and frauds are all-too common in the psychic industry, so it’s up to those of us who believe in the reality of this world to keep it legitimate and safe for people to use.

If you have questions, comments, or remarks to make about your experiences with psychics, feel free to let us know! The more accountability there is in our industry, the better it will be.
